how to open encrypted files

hi i have a large encrypted dat file. if there a way i can access its data.

You haven't given us much info! The short answer is "maybe" ... the first step is to identify what it has been "encrypted" with ... is it actually encrypted, or has it simply been compressed (eg gzipped)? Is it a compressed tarball? What's the file extension? Give us some actual info and we may be able to advise.

Thanks for the replying. The extension is .dat !! file contains gaseous absorption coefficient data (can be considered as double) for different thermal state(T,P,x). File size is around 2.5GB. It does not seem to be compressed. you can take a look here.

Well, it's not a tar file or a gzip file. From the extension, my guess is that it is simply a binary data file. To read it, you need to know the format of the data structure and the machine type on which it was written.
Without that, I think you are stuck. Sorry! |
