MPPICFoam - column tutorial incorrect bottom patch handling

Dear Foamers,
When running the column tutorial (without any modifications) straight from the repo for 0 < t < 10s it can be seen that in the bottom cell of the column all particles slowly migrate to the bottom of the cell (see figure attached). Eventually they end up resting on the bottom of the column, since their z-position is almost exactly the particle radius. So far I've tried turning off the isotropy model, including pressure gradient term and moving gravity from implicitly solved in particle pressure model to explicit force but the problem remains. I've also tried different cell sizes, the problem remains always in the lowest cell. Kind regards, Jeroen |
