Too long; don’t want to read:
1) How do I specify an inlet condition for a molar mass flux [mol/m²s] from a surface
2) Which solver can I use to simulate fluid flow across the surface and simultaneously transport the molar mass from the surface?

Dear Foamers,
My simulation consists of a horizontal fluid flow across an irregular surface. Using a modified pisoFoam solver with added scalar transport equation, I can advect a scalar quantity which was added by setFields or through an inlet patch.
Now, in the near future I will receive data that specifies a molar mass flux [mol/m²s] from my surface. I assume I cannot just set my scalar to be x mol/m²/s and have to use a boundary condition specifying this flux. After a bit of reading it seems to me that the use of the flowRateInletVelocity boundary condition might be an option. Even though it uses kg/s.
1) Or is there any other boundary condition that could do this job?

Then I will have to transport the flux from the surface with my horizontal velocity field. As said above, at the moment I’m using a modified pisoFoam with added scalar transport equation.
2) But which solver can I use that can transport my molar mass within the fluid flow?

With best regards,
Robert
