Hi all,

I have a strange problem with our in-house solver.

The solver was built from reactingFoam in OF2.4x to solve the chemistry only at required cells based on the Temperature with PaSR combustion model and GRI 3.0 mechanism.

The solver runs smoothly in serial, there is no error.

When I switch to parallel with scotch decomposition, it hangs at somepoint.

When I use simple decomposition,
For ex. (1 60 1) it hangs at a time of 4.08e-5
and with (1 32 1) it hangs at 4.17e-5.

But when I change the decomposition to (2 7 2) it runs smoothly.

There is no error from the terminal. It just hangs and no message further.

I want to increase the number of cores to 60, But the maximum I could use now is 28.

The simulation is a simple burner simulation with methane and oxygen at inlet with a mesh size of around 6.5 million cells.

Does anyone face similar errors with reactingFoam solver.

Thanks,
Senthil.
