Hello,

I'm evaluating solidDisplacementFoam for a stress analysis in some components, and was modifying the tutorial to compare to commercial FEA using the same mesh density.

I was able to get a 2D fixed displacement to give consistent results, but when trying to do a 3D plate with a fixed end and out of plane force, the convergence is very slow. Are there options I am missing in the fvSolution/fvSchemes I should change, or are my BC wrong. Using OptiStruct, the free end displacement is around 1.8 mm which is close to the theoretical value for a square plate, treating it as a beam (1.6 mm). I had to change the thickness and pressure applied to make is a small displacement suitable for linear elastic analysis. The left edge is fixed and the bottom edge is symmetric, all other edges are free

I've included the case setup and FEA results for reference (Displacement in in mm, stress is in N/mm2 i.e. MPa). Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide

I also tried to get this to work using solidEquilibriumDisplacementFoam but the kineticEnergy kineticPower increase without bound and crash the solver. Attached case
