I've attempted to extend a slightly modified version of the OpenFOAM 10 lid-driven cavity tutorial setup to the 3D case. It does run without errors, but I'm not seeing any changes of U within the simulation area whatsoever, stays 0 the whole time. I feel like I'm missing something really stupid but have no idea what that could be.
As for the 2D -> 3D transition, I just changed the frontAndBack from "empty" to "wall"; the Z position of the front vertex layer from 0.1 to 1 (= 2 m) to form a proper cube, adjusting the amount of Z-direction cells accordingly; and the boundary conditions on frontAndBack from "empty" to "zeroGradient"/"noSlip" for p and U respectively. Viscosity is 0.002 for Re = 1000 which works fine in the 2D case. Zip of case directory attached (blockMesh + icoFoam not yet run). |

Solved, it was just some weird problem with paraFoam. If I create an empty "something.foam" in the case directory and pass it to paraview directly, I see the results as expected.
