Settling Sphere by Michael Alletto tutorial crashing

Hi community:

I was trying to run the Settling Sphere tutorial from wiki.openfoam (link below) and the simulation is crashing after the 3.1s time step. That is sort of by design (in that it also happens in the tutorial description), but I was hoping to fix it. My current theory is that the overset mesh around the sphere leaves the walls of the boundary mesh so it can no longer interpolate the data. But even if that is the issue, I'm not sure how to fix it. Have any of you run into this issue or know how to solve it?

With the new version the tutorial works bette. See also https://www.openfoam.com/news/main-n...v2212/numerics
