Hello all,
I'm building a case based on multiRegionHeater. I'm using liquid phase as a fluid. I'd like to know which Thermophysical model is appropriate for liquids? I.e. which input I need to put in thermophysicalProperties -file as there must be defined thermoType ····<····<····<····<····<·········>>>>> I tried to use the same input as in multiRegionHeater but it didn't produce any reasonable result (although it might be due to that there's somethin else wrong). Regards, Petri |

Hi all,
Another question: can I solve the problem just replacing in solvers/heatTransfer/chtMultiRegionFoam/chtMultiRegionFoam.C #include "basicPsiThermo.H" with some other thermodynamic model and compiling it again? And which model(s) is suitable for liquid phases? I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with this! Thank you! Petri |

Hi Petri!
Check the user guide (p U-171) for more details on how to define thermo-physical properties in OF. For the chtMultiregionFoam they are defined in the case directory, in constant/<fluidRegion>/thermophysicalProperties. As far as I remember the multiRegionHeater tutorial prescribes the properties of air; hence it should be clear why you do not get reasonable results if you want to simulate the behaviour of a liquid. Hope that helps! Regards, Aram |

Dear Petri,
I have the same problem related to the implementation of a liquid using the solver chtMultiRegionFoam... Have you solve this problem? If yes, can you please help me to find the solution? Many thanks Best Regards Michea |
