Modelling a Water-Air bubble column

Greetings foamers,
I try to simulate a water-air bubble column like the becker test-case (Becker et al. 1999: flat bubble column, single gas-sparger in the centre of the bottom) The mesh is easily built using blockMesh. I attached a screenshot of the mesh. The solver I use is twoPhaseEulerFoam. My questions are: Which dragModels are recommended for gas bubble - water eulerian simulation? Are there any changes that have to be made when starting from one of the tutorial cases? |
