I'm trying to install OpenFOAM2.4.x to use interThermalPhaseChangeFoam (https://github.com/ElsevierSoftwareX/SOFTX-D-16-00038). I already have OpenFOAM9 installed successfully.

I've set up the asliases as described here:
https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/bl...vironment.html

I've attached the log file for the OpenFOAM 2.4.x installation. The first error is:
Code:
-- Sources for CGAL component library 'CGAL_Core/CMakeLists.txt' detected
CMake Error at Installation/src/CMakeLists.txt:81 (add_subdirectory):
  add_subdirectory given source
  "/home/user/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-2.4.x/CGAL-4.6/CGAL_Core/src/CGAL_Core/CMakeLists.txt"
which is not an existing directory.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  Installation/src/CMakeLists.txt:140 (configure_component)
I originally followed the installation instructions here: https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/I...M-2.4.x/Ubuntu
But I was getting errors with Scotch6.0.3. I therefore copied the Scotch6.0.9 files from the ThirdParty-9 folder to the ThirdParty-2.4.x folder and changed the line in the scotch configuration file "etc/config/scotch.sh" to
Code:
export SCOTCH_VERSION=scotch_6.0.9
I believe there was also an error building CMake2.8.12.1 which is used for OpenFOAM2.4.x. Can I get it to use CMake3.16.3 which I already have? I've attached the log file for CMake too. Or is there another solution to the OpenFOAM2.4.x problems?

Please let me know if I can give more information.

Are you sure that OpenFOAM 2.4.x is compatible for Ubuntu version 24.04 ? If I'm not wrong, my answer is NO. Why don't you find compatible versions in any of Ubuntu or OpenFOAM ?
https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/I...M-2.4.x/Ubuntu
Thank you

Thank you for your reply.

I didn't realise that it wasn't compatible with Ubuntu 24.04. I'll see if I can find a way to use a different version of OpenFOAM or Ubuntu.

I assume OpenFOAM 2.4.0 is also not compatible with Ubuntu 24.04?
