I would like to design a shell and tube heat exchanger in freecad using openfoam. The heat exchange must include baffles.
Has someone perhaps done this before who could give me guidance on where to start? |

Hey
I have never managed to create baffles in CfdOF (the Freecad OpenFoam workbench). A workaround probably exist, but I would try to set up the case manually. You could try to create a simple test case in Salome though, by partitioning two aligned cylinder. Partitioning makes sure you retain the internal wall between your two fluid regions so you can create your baffles later on. The compressible::turbulentTemperatureCoupledBaffleMix ed allows you to add layers of solid materials of varying thickness and conductivity. |
