Dear all,
I have undertaken the task of velocity field mapping between two distinct geometries. The source geometry comprises a cuboid measuring 1m x 0.1m x 0.1m, while the target geometry is a cuboid with dimensions of 1m x 0.2m x 0.2m. My objective is to meticulously map the velocity field from the source mesh onto the interior of the target mesh (overlapped region) adhering to a point-by-point approach, while maintaining a zero velocity field at the outer region of the target mesh. Enclosed is the structural depiction of the numerical domain. I have utilized the mapFields utility to facilitate data mapping using both coarser and finer meshes. However, discrepancies have arisen notably at the boundary of the overlapped region. Attached are images illustrating two distinct cases alongside the relevant source code. I kindly seek your expertise and guidance regarding this matter. Best regards, [Dibyendu Rana] |
