Hello,

i m a new openfoamer, i currently try to modelize the thermal features of a helicoidal pipe doing a parametric study.

The simulation is ok, i m now trying to visualize the evolution of the tempertature profile along the pipe.

for that, i did a slice along polyline, as you can see on the picture i joined.

But i would like to have a plan with z normal.

someone know if that is possible with slice along polyline (i didn't find how change the normal) or if i have to do that with another method ?

regards

It appears too easy, am I missing something? Can you not use an ordinary xy-Plane slice?

No i can t used to classic x y slice, because there is a variation in z, so i have to used the medium line of the pipe, but as you can see i have a problem with the normal of the slice with the filter slice along polyline, so i m looking for an other option..

thank you for your reply

I see. I would probably go into a CAD tool, model the extraction surface there, export it as STL and then use the ResampleWithDataSet filter in Paraview then.
