Hi all,

I am trying to modify a blade mesh using Pointwise. The blade mesh was originally created using Gridgen. When I opened it using some Pointwise versions (17.1R1 - R3), I got undesireble mesh lines (see attached figure, the errors are indicated by the green lines).

I tried to use the newer version such as 17.3R3. The problem actually is vanished; however, I got a new problem. The newest pointwise cannot be used to create a mesh at all, for instance, creating lines, splines, etc.

This problem doesn't occur if I use Pointwise 17.0R2. However, this version has some limitations. I think this was installing, environment, or library issues. Does somebody has an idea how to solve this? Fyi. I use Ubuntu 14

Thanks and look forward to receiving your help.

Galih

When you wrote "the newest pointwise cannot be used to create a mesh at all" exactly what does that mean?

Hallo, Thanks for the reply!
It cannot be used to make connectors, i tried both 2 point curve and curves, they are not working. It can only be used to view the existing mesh. I believe that this might be an installation error since it works with the previous version. Do you have any idea?

Galih:

I still do not know what is meant by "they are not working." I highly doubt it's an installation error.

Please contact our technical support at support@pointwise.com, give them your Customer ID, and describe your problem in detail. I'm certain they can help.

Best Regards
