Hi community,

I have a problem when I'm trying to import a pointwise file in format .cgns to SU2. When I run in SU2 I receive a messenger saying: "namefile.CGNS in not a CGNS file. Now exiting". I changed the configuration file to:
"% Mesh input file
MESH_FILENAME= namefile.cgns
%
% Mesh input file format (SU2, CGNS)
MESH_FORMAT= CGNS".

What i'm trying to do is run my 2d airfoil in SU2 with a mesh that I generate in pointwise from a CAD file that contains the profile points. So I import a txt file to solidworks, I create my 2D profile and I save in .igs format. Then I import that file to pointwise and I create a C grid mesh. After this I export the file in .cgns format and SU2 should read this format but no.

What am I doing wrong?
And why I can't export from pointwise in SU2 native format?

Thanks,
JLourenco

You can export in SU2's native format. From the CAE, Select Solver menu in Pointwise, scroll down and select "Stanford ADL/SU2" from the list.

And to export the grid, you must use the File, Export, CAE... menu.

If you need it, you can also set boundary and volume conditions using the CAE, Boundary Conditions... and CAE, Volume Conditions... menu.
