Hello!
This is my first post here and it is a simple question. I've searched but haven't find anything about. I've made a study in an aircraft with a symmetric XY plan on it. The simulation is done and converged and for aesthetic purposes (a report) I want to show the solution in the entire aircraft. Can I mirror the solution on the symmetry plan? (I guess the answer is yes, but then, how?) Thanks! |

Hello rasiodc,
for sure you can display the whole solution. Just activate on the scene/plot settings of the displayer the visual transform option to symmetry plane (i think its identity for now). PS: you may need more then one scalar displayer. |

Thanks for the reply, TSC!
Actually I did not find the options you suggested so what I did was to copy and paste the Region and then Right Click->Transform->Reflect I then set the scenes to display both Regions 1 and 2 (the original and the reflected copy). May not be the elegant way to do it, but worked. |

just to view the results in a mirrored context:
fluent> graphics and annotations> vector or contour plot....plot your result. After this in the menu> display scenes > select the mirrored axis or planes and apply. |

You need to create a "scaler scene" and in the "Parts" under "scaler" section choose the surface you want to plot along with the "symmetry plane" (or Symmetry line) to be shown in the figure.
(in region section of software you must have a boundary type of symmetry plane) After that go to scaler properties (not outline) and in expert part you would find "transform: identity" and change it to the symmetry plane you have. see here for more details: http://antipasto.union.edu/~andersoa...20Tutorial.pdf this is example in page 6922 of version 7.06 user guide. |
