Hi everyone,
i have a problem now. I made a calculation of the temperature, press and density in cylinder chamber according to crank angle by matlab. now i want to make these results as boundary conditions into star ccm+ in region. How should i do? Thanks everyone! songkai |

You have a single temperature, pressure, at each crank angle or you have a field of data at each crank angle? For single quantities, you can save your data as a .csv and import the .csv into Star as a file table. Then you can reference this file table in the boundary condition. But you have to take care of the crank angle somehow. I don't know how you set up your simulation but usually it is a simulation in time so you provide a time column. Is it as simple as converting crank angle into time for your case?

i have a field of data, for each angle has a single value. i do not know that is belong to single value or a field. but i did not find how to save as .csv file. songkai |

You must know the engine RPM. Calculate RPS from that. That many rounds in a second. From 1/RPS, you get the time require for single round. This time is for 360 degree crank angle. calculate time for 1 degree crank angle, use it as a time step.
