initialising a thermal boundary layer -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

yamifm0f Member fa Join Date: Nov 2013 Posts: 30 Rep Power: 12	I want to initialise a thermal boundary layer with a temperature profile but I do not know how. I have been looking at the Prescribing Constant Temperature in Fluid Cells but it is not clear to me. I have tried it for a fluid only domain. To use Prescribing Constant Temperature in Fluid Cells I need to have a volumetric heat source, which I do not have. Is there any other way to initialise the thermal boundary layer?
