Hello
In the simulation of a turning ship, we have done a 6dof with a virtual disk.
In the simulation used of flat of waves. Free surface. Without speed
The number of meshes is 2.5 million and the time step is 0.01.
All boundary conditions are the velocity inlet. (Behind the body as a pressure outlet)
The body is inside the overset mesh.
The simulation is done correctly, but misplaced graphs are received from the software.
After 90 degrees of z-axis rotation, the x-axis rotation report such pi increases. (false)
This happens again at 270 degrees of z-axis rotation.
Selected is report (6dof body orientation).
The direction of the z-axis is in line with the acceleration of gravity.
if, with three degrees of freedom, this is not a problem.

It is not clear what your problem is or what questions you are asking.

we considered the point that in the -90 degree in the z-axis rotation report.
this point in the x-axis rotation report, is faced with a jump.
and also another point that is in the -270 degree in the z-axis rotation report, have this condition.
and i belive that this jump is error and isn't real based on physical condition.
can you explain what is the reason of this phenomena??
