Hi!
I am trying to import a .stp file containing buildings into STAR-CCM+. However, when importing only some of the buildings are getting imported, while the remaining are not showing at all. The output shows "Failed to transform body with tag XX into its proper assembly position", for all the buildings not imported. Do anyone have a idea why this is not working? (PS: I'm quite new to STAR-CCM+) The file of the buildings is created by using Revit Placemaker (https://www.suplacemaker.com/). It is then loaded into Autodesk Inventor where it is converted to .stp. I've checked the .stp file in other software (i.e. Inventor) and there it looks fully functioning, so the problem is only when imported into STAR-CCM+. The .stp file is on this link: https://filebin.net/93kohm4lcekb9duf (Could get the attachment function to work If anyone has an idea what could cause the problems it would be highly appreciated! Regards Øystein |

In that case the solution might be the following: scale geometry to fit into 1000m cube, import it to star, mesh it, scale the mesh via part operations. |

Thank you cwl for your help!
It could seem the problem was that it was to large, looking at the buildings that got imported. However, by using the same model in another file format (STP) without scaling it down it worked fine for me. Not quite sure why, but it worked :P |
