Hi all,
I am new to star ccm+ and I am running into some problems using the injector function. I want to inject a clump of particles in a rectangular 3D domain filled with air. The height of the clump of particles is the same as the height of the domain. I set the angular velocity of the injector to zero, the particle diameter equal to the diameter of the individual particles in the clump (so not the clump itself), the particle orientation is zero and the velocity also. For the particle flow rate I give a function: $Time <= 0.001 ? 1000 : 0, which should inject the whole clump in the first time step. However, for some reason it injects the clump under an angle (see image). I can not find out why it does this. Since the height of the clump should be the same as the height of the domain it should not even be possible to fit it in the domain under an angle. It also seems that the clump is much smaller than the domain, which I don't understand. Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Michelle |
