Does anyone have any experience using Star-CCM for flow control. I'm trying to implement a Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) into Star-CCM where I would have computed the control signal u from matlab, and the whole idea would be to take sensor measurements within star-ccm and use that for my LQG which will actuate a velocity where it will be set as a velocity inlet at a certain position.

It sounds like you're trying to have a co-simulation between Matlab and Starccm+. This can be achieved by exporting your controller form Matlab in the FMU format (requires Simulink coder toolbox). This FMU model can be imported into the CFD simulation, so that you don't need Matlab during the execution.

I don't have a simuink model. I just have a matlab scripts where I computed all the necessary matrices for my closed loop control
