Hello Everybody,

I'm using ANSYS Apdl v14 for the first time. Concerning the postprocessing (/POST1), I'd like to know the mechanical meaning of the elastic strain intensity (EPEL,INT) in Ansys. I guess this quantity is related to the shear strain but how ? In Ansys help, it is mentionned that the expression of this command is linked to the maximum of the principal strain. I really have some troubles concerning this value and I don't know how to interprate it.

I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks!
