Hi Structural Mechanics users,

I have to model the 2D cross-section of a thin film pouch filled by water and externally subjected to a compressive force to evaluate the stress distribution along the thin film. I know there is the possibility to integrate the hydrostatic element type, aka HSFLD241, through an APDL code, but I have never programmed in APDL and I have no idea on how to proceed. I've seen some code examples on the network but I don't know if I can just copy and paste or if I have to modify some parts according to my model, but in the latter case I have no idea about the data required.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you!

NC
