Dear friends:
I write a 250,000 unstructured grid data(grid infor and termperature field ) sucessfully with tecio under opensuse linux. But when i increase the mesh size to 360,000, it gives me the error: "segment fault error". My workstation has a 64G RAM, i don't think it can not hold 360,000 mesh size. Could you please give me some suggestions. Regards. |

Tecio can certainly write larger data files than this. A few questions:
1. Are you using the latest version of Tecio? It is available via your My Tecplot account (free to establish if you don't yet have one) at https://www.tecplot.com/tecio 2. Which version of Open SUSE are you using (the output of shell command uname -a)? 3. Are you writing .plt or the newer .szplt? 4. In which routine does the crash occur? 5. Are you able to post a subset of your code that includes your calls to Tecio? |
