Ph.D. Position – Computational Fluid Dynamics and Fluid-Structure Interaction
A PhD position is available in the Computational and Theoretical Multiphysics Laboratory (https://eng.famu.fsu.edu/~kshoele/CTML ) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Florida State University (https://eng.famu.fsu.edu/me). Research projects will involve interdisciplinary computational and theoretical investigations of fluid structure interaction.
- Creativity and interest in interdisciplinary research - An undergraduate degree in engineering (especially mechanical or civil) or related fields (applied mathematics, computational physics). Candidates who have already obtained a master's degree are strongly encouraged to apply. - Previous research experience is highly desirable. Desirable research skills include computational fluid dynamics, and programming (Fortran and C++). - Strong oral and written communication skills.
