Job Description
A Postdoctoral Researcher position is
available under the supervision of Dr. Ki
Sun Park at the Department of Mechanical and
Aerospace Engineering, UAE
University. The successful candidate will work
on one or more of the following
topics:
• Multiphase Flow Simulation -
Evaporation and Condensation (RPI);
• Multiphase Flow Simulation - Numerical
modeling of two-phase flow,
Particle Breakage and Coalescence (PBE,
QMOM/DQMOM);
• Conceptual/Preliminary Design of a
Resistojet;
The position is for one year with a
possibility of one additional year renewal
or extension depending on the availability of
funding. Salary is tax-free and
will be 9,000 - 10,000 AED per month +
benefits (depending on qualification and
experience).
Responsibilities
Research responsibilities will include
assistance with:
• Performing research activities in
involved projects and performing CFD
analysis;
• Writing of research papers;
• Identification of funding
opportunities and writing of funding
applications;
• Helping graduate students with
research;
• Other research related activities;
Qualifications
• Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree
and demonstrated expertise in
computational fluid dynamics;
• Applicants should have experience in
Multiphase Flow Simulations;
• The candidate is required to know
C/C++;
• He/she must have experience in a
commercial CFD tool, ANSYS Fluent, and
an open-source tool, OpenFOAM. He/she will
perform CFD Analysis using Fluent and
implement mathematical models into OpenFOAM;
• He/she must have experience in CAD
tools, such as CATIA, NX and/or
Solidworks;
