Summary
Ascend Technologies Ltd. is looking for a Research Scientist with previous experience in numerical modelling, CFD or Computational Physics.

Role/Description
• Working on a Horizon Europe project. 
• Development of mathematical and computational models for photo-thermal therapy.
• Applying machine learning algorithms.
• Actively participating in research group activities and attending multidisciplinary team meetings with research collaborators.
• Presenting results from the research at internal and external meetings.
• Writing technical reports and research papers.

Requirements
• A good degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics and a PhD in a relevant discipline
• Experience and a proven competence in CFD or Computational Physics.
• A proven research record consistent with the years of research experience in a relevant field
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with other team members
• Demonstrated ability to write technical reports
• Evidence of high self-motivation, excellent communication skills and ability to work to project deadlines

Desirable but not essential
• Previous experience in use of COMSOL Multiphysics 
• Previous experience in application of machine learning algorithms and/or programming in C or Python
