Description:

We would like to invite you to attend the Fourth
International workshop of Energy Conversion (IWEC2011),
organized by Energy Conversion Research Center of Doshisha
University of Japan under the Cooperative Project of
Strategic Research Foundation of Private University,
following up a series of meetings that has first been held
in Doshisha University in Japan in 2003.
The world energy situation has become critical and new
issues are arising in the sector of energy conversion. Many
of these issues are strictly related to efficient use or
conversion of energies, and the possibility to solve these
problems strongly depends on the new developments of science
and engineering. Those problems are often rising in new
areas of research, such as energy transport caused by mass
or electromagnetism and chemical reaction, where new
techniques, numerical models and solution methods need to be
developed. The aims of the IWEC is to bring together
researchers, scientists, practitioners from academia,
research institutions and industry to exchange experiences,
disseminate up-to-date information, and explore new
opportunities in energy conversion. The topics on the IWEC
could cover various aspects of theories, analyses,
technologies and applications of energy conversion in
experimental, theoretical and engineering science. The
conference language will be English.
