OpenFOAM adapter for the coupling library preCICE

An official OpenFOAM adapter for the free coupling library preCICE is now available on GitHub.

This new adapter can be loaded at run-time, does not require any changes in the solvers and supports modern OpenFOAM distributions. It currently supports conjugate heat transfer, while mechanical fluid-structure interaction is coming soon. You may also easily extend it to other problem types.

Follow our step-by-step tutorial to run a provided example.

You can now couple OpenFOAM to a multitude of other supported solvers, including SU2, CalculiX, and Code_Aster. You may even create your own adapter to couple your favorite in-house solver.

Your feedback for this new adapter would be invaluable. Feel free to write to our mailing list, to open an issue in our repository, or to respond to this announcement.
