Every year, Materialise rewards the most innovative uses of Mimics software with a money prize up to 5,000 €. Many researchers use Mimics software for processing, editing and segmenting their scanner data in an effort to do image-based CFD. Materialise is proud that Mimics’ powerful, user-friendly design has lifted so many interesting projects to a higher level. The Mimics Innovation Awards support top level research conducted with the assistance of Mimics.

You can submit your research case in one of these four categories:

1. Innovative implant design systems and the development of innovative medical procedures

2. Innovations in computer aided engineering

3. Open category

4. Poster

The winner in each category receives a 5,000 € money prize. The best poster will be rewarded with 2,500 €.

An independent, international jury, composed of experts in advanced 3D medical image processing, thoroughly evaluates each paper on pre-defined criteria and selects the most innovative cases.

Deadline for abstracts is November 30.

The winners of the Mimics Innovation Awards 2008 will be announced at the international Medical Innovations Conference 2008 in Vienna, Austria, May 30-31. They are invited to present their case at the Medical Innovations Conference 2009. Join us in Vienna! Check our website for more information.
