Hi Guys,
Anyone expert on ANSA hexablock meshing?
I have a cylindrical geometry with five inlets at one end. When I use map surface to generate the surface mesh, the mesh encloses all the faces disregarding the inlets.
How can I tell the mesher that there are "holes" (the inlets) at that location which needs to mesh inside of them and not closes them?

Thank you!

Find attached 2 images following up on the post. The 1st image shows the geometry along with the hexaboxes to create the mapped mesh. The 2nd reveals the mapped shell of the cylinder, to be volume meshed afterward.
Regards.

Hi there
You need to create one large outer box and split it so that it can accomodate the interior pipes.
You cannot have unconnected hexablock boxes. It has to be one connected topology of boxes.
Then you associate all the edges to the geometry.
Something like that for example
