Hi
I am facing problems in connecting two different sketches in different planes. Like a half circle is at a XYplane of -25cm offset and another half circle is at XYplane of -30cm offset. Now how can i draw a line connecting this two half circles in different planes....?? Sakib |

Hi,
I'm facing the same problem, beacuse I need to "take" one point in a sketch on the ZX plane and have it available in another sketch on the ZY plane, because I want a spline to finish exactly in this point. To make better understand the problem, I would like to know if is there a way, in DesignModeler, to have SolidWorks' "Convert Entity" function. I would like to use DM instead of another software because I want my whole project (CFD) to be inside Workbench, because I will have to run an otpimization with an external software. I'm using Ansys 14, hope someone could have a solution to this, because in my opinion it's quite impossible not to have such a function in DM. Thanks in advance. |

Iceman, look up "sketch instance". Create a new plane, right click it and Insert.
Basically you can project a sketch onto another plane (not one of the original three) and then use that as a starting point for you spline. |
