Hi,

Can anyone tell me the mathematical definition of skewness, smoothness and aspect ratio of a mesh cell?

Greetings

Hi,

You can find all the definitions for mesh quality in the Gambit user guide (p.3-88 of the pdf).

What do you mean by "smoothness" of a cell? For me smoothness is for the domain, i.e. there should not be abrupt jumps in cell size in your grid.

Marion.
