Hello!
I've tried to do hex mesh map type in my rather simple domain, but Gambit force it to submap mesh on the floor face. Then I've made more faces around the model in the domain instead of one face with subtracted model. Mesh looked ok until some model error occurred... After some reading here I know that it was wrong idea from the beginning, but I couldn't find the answer to the following question: How to create a domain like this so that I can do hex mesh (type map) on every wall? Thanks in advance. Paulina |

Just sweep edges from internal parallepiped in all directions.

Thank you very much for the answer. It works.
But now I'm facing new problem. I know that good mesh should result in right y+ values. I'm using k-epsilon model of turbulence and I get min y+ equal to zero and as far as I now it should be y+ min >10. Grid adapting in Fluent doesn't work for this minimum value, it stays equal to zero. I'm traying with different mesh size but as far nothing works to change it. Is there any other thing that can influence this value? Paulina |

weird
Insert a BL on your walls, and set the right first cell height. you can use this tool http://www.cfd-online.com/Tools/yplus.php
