Dear Sara,
I read your posts without replies; read this first: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ansys-meshing/116369-before-you-start-thread-see-if-you-can-find-answers-here.html I try to give you some general advices: I don't know Ansys meshing, but to have a coupled wall (wall+shadow wall) in fluent you need only one wall surface (3D) or 1 edge (2D), which must have the same nodes for internal and external mesh. This edge/surface is common to fluid and solid regions and in fluent (not in pre processor) will be splitted into a wall and a shadow wall. See attached example. Daniele |

If you are using Ansys-Meshing (on the left panel) there is an option called 'connections'. You can right click and select the automatic option. Before you do so remember to declare the domain as 'solid' or 'fluid' whichever is applicable.
