Dear all,

I believe there are different types of 3D mesh we can use for discretization before running our simulation. Could anyone advice me if the type of mesh would affect the simulation results?

Thank you for your time.

Very generally and broadly speaking: tetrahedral meshes are the easiest to generate, but also converge more slowly and are less accurate. Hex meshes are the most difficult to generate, but converge more rapidly and are more accurate. There are other exotic mesh types that offer some mix of the above advantages and disadvantages.
gk_uk and howhs like this.
