Blocking technique for models with small number of faces

It's been a while now, and I seems to have identified my problem in ICEM blocking.
Usually I have to associate a block (8 vertices, 12 edges, and 6 faces) to the model. However, how should I associate the block to a model with fewer geometrical elements ? I've tried to reduce the number of vertices by merging them, but it ended up with an invalid face error in CFX. The picture of my model is attached. The surfaces are created with simple surface method. I've been looking for tutorials, but nothing comes close. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance to everyone at CFD Online. |
