Default Blocking doesn't follow correctly when making minor changes to geometry

Hello all,
I have a small problem which probably has an easy solution but I can't figure it out. I need to do a parametric study of a geometry by changing the length of some pipes. I started a Workbench project and did the model in DesignModeler and coupled it to ICEM. My geometry is a large cylinder connected to a smaller cylinder which in turn is connected to a large cylinder.

I start with doing the blocking with multiple O-splits and associating the edges to the curves. I then have some curves that are not associated to curves but rather faces to surfaces(see attached figure). Everything works fine and I get the mesh that I want. When then altering the length of the smaller cylinder, e.g making it longer, then the blocking is of course not following but the associations still remain, I figured that if I associate the faces with the geometry surfaces and then snap the vertices, the blocking should just translate with the geometry. But the problem becomes that the blocking follows but doesn't retain its original form. Do you have any ideas for this?

Thanks in advance

Nevermind, found the answer. I could just translate the blocks in ICEM the distance
