Hello guys,
I am performing simulations on the NREL wind turbine (radius:5m) in Fluent and I have generated mesh in ICEM.
My first problem is I am not able to generate mesh on the trailing edge of the blade, thickness is defined at trailing edge and surface element is breaking. Moreover, while the prism layer are not generated on trailing edge of the blade instead it ignores the trailing edge. Additionally, using interface and need some tips for mesh generating.

you can use surface blocking to get mesh on surface.

Use delaunay method with surface mesh alraedy generated.

Thank you Far,
I have defined the dimensions and quantities in the global mesh setup and instead of generating octree surface and volume mesh I have used 2D surface blocking to generate surface mesh. By doing this I have achieved a good quality of surface mesh and there is no destruction on the surface mesh (trailing edge).

It really works good and fast.

Yeah, we did simulations on NREL IV with this method and it really worked

But you know you cannot find this method in help

Octree, shell meshing etc with edge criteria, auto blocking etc but that didn't work ...

Best of luck

Use these options in surface blocking

1. If you want all tri : surface blocking > free

2. If you want mostly quad : surface blocking > mostly mapped
