hi my dear friends,
model is a turbine blade profile(two dimensional). below model have seven dimensions that should be apply. attention to below image: How do I design this model with gambit? I tried that design, But not true. I would appreciate it if you could kindly give me your advice. if you could send me a visual,I would be thankful. best, amir |

display what you get, and explain what you did

hi
OK , I say respectively: 1.create display grid(For example,x=0.425,y=0.5for angle of 60 deg) and radius of leading and trailing edges(arc with radius of 0.5mm). The central vertex of arc at a distance of 27 mm from the center of coordinates is created(Lr=54 mm). 2.create Circle(radius 34.6) that pass vertexes of made arc(radius 0.5mm) in the previous step by obtaining the distance to the center coordinates of the circle center. . 3.create ellipse with present dimension(upper post--e=43.1 and big radius=125.8) .......attention to bellow image: 4.Now, what do I do?...How do I Coincide these above two part. I think that it is hard to design. Perhaps there are other ways, I don't know. thank your help. |

Now you need to move your ellipse in direction of circle
For that you may use Align tool: https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Gam...eom_edge_align From highest vertex (small radius 0.5), you sweep the vertex to the left until it crosses the ellipse. Then you split the ellipse with this line, it will create a vertex at same level. Delete the line between circle and ellipse. Aligne ellipse and circle, by picking vertex of ellipse as start point for tranlslation, and vertex of circle as end point of translation. (enable connected geometry) That's it Untitled.png Untitled1.png
