Hi all,

I am trying to create a mesh for a 3D wing following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgjRT4WY_iA

I am running into trouble once i create the pre-mesh and I am getting volume orientation errors. I have looked through previous threads and it seems like my problem may be how I am associating the curves and edges. I have tried to restart many times using different techniques and they all yield similar results. The leading edge is the part I am having the most trouble with. I have attached pictures of the mesh as well as included a link to the files needed to view the project.

Please let me know if I need to provide additional information. If you have any suggestions or could give me some assistance it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

You did not provide the blocking file. So I could not see what errors you made with the association. sorry.

Hi,

Assuming that the problem is with association,I think the upper surface of the wing does not have any edge associated, If i am correct you probably selected all the edges together and associated it to the wing.

1. if its a sharp trailing edge you would have collapsed the block behind. So select the top edge, associate it to the upper surface only, then bottom edge to the bottom surface only, then the front edge to the two surfaces together

2. Try switching on the association arrows and they will help you find the problem

3. I had the same problem. You might want to check this thread and similar thread related to this one..

I hope i was relevant to some extent. Hope you solve the problem soon..

Bye
