Hey everyone,

I'm a new ICEM user and I'm facing a problem concerning the merging of tetra and hexa meshes.

The situation : I need to merge the hexa mesh of a classical 3D pipe with an Ogrid and exponential distribution for the boundary layer , and the unstructured tetra mesh of an other pipe. I created an interface between the two pipes.

I tried to use the function merge nodes/merge meshes: It worked , but the quality of the elements at the interface was really poor, principally due to the high difference in element size between tetras and hexas near to the wall.

Does anybody have an idea how to fix it ?

I hope my question is not completely obvious. I searched in the forum but did not find any corresponding answer.

Thanks for your help !
