labyrinth & honeycomb seal

Hello -for my dissertation I've been trying to teach myself ICEM to create a mesh for a 3D labyrinth honeycomb simulation (one element thick). Using a part created in Solidworks I managed to block the part in ICEM however when creating a mesh it meshes the lab seal cavities and honeycomb fin cavities but in the clearance gap of the seal the mesh tries to connect the points between the two creating a poor mesh. See picture of what I mean below...
Any guidance/ ideas on how to get around this to create a suitable mesh would be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks Charlie |
