Hello,

I am almost new to the world of FEM. So please forgive me for the question. I have the task to simulate a tensile test for plastic. Therefore I shall use various material models and compare these between each other.

I already did a linear analysis with isotrope elastic properties. Now I want to implement a nonlinear material model (at the moment bilinear and multilinear, later Neo-Hooke, Mooney Rivlin). Meanwhile created in Ansys Workbench a bilinear as well es a multilinear material model by using experimental data.
But the simulation does still act linear and doesnt show any plasticity. The results are almost the same as those of the linear calculation. And the strain of plasticity is zero. But I am definitely out of the linear area.

In Ansys I chosed the nonlinear material. I considerd nonlinear effects, large deformation and auto time stepping with substeps.

Does anybode know where my mistake is? Or what I am not considering?

Would be really great, if you can help me.

regards
