Rocket Fin Meshing

Hello together,
I am currently simulation rocket aerodynamics. Therefore I first created a fairly good mesh on a rockte without any fins. However, the next step is to create a mesh with fins included. I am having trouble to mesh the fin, mostly because the end coincides with a step in the rocket geometry. Does someone have any suggestion on how to mech this area? I have tried to put the fin in the symmetry plane, but the problem is the same. I have attached a few pictures with the fin. You can already see that most of the fin is meshed okay, however, at the back of the fin, as there is a radius change in the main rocket geometry, I cannot get the mesh to fit fine. I have also played around with a C-Grid idea, but wasnt really able to get this working either. P.S.: In the 4th picture I thought maybe there is an option to redirect the mesh to go down onto the rocket geometry instead of continuing right of the rocket. This way I will loose some nodes on the main rocket, however, I thought this would be the best idea?! How can I redirect them to go down instead of right :/ |
