Hello, i have a 2740mm long tube with internal helical micro fins. I want to do cfd simulation of water flow through the finned tube and computing pressure loss and heat transfer of the fluid. I am having problems with meshing of the tube because the fins are very small compared to the tube diameter. What is best method of meshing internal helical micro-fins with good mesh quality.
I have attached the geometry of the tube. The pictures show the fluid region of the geometry that is why the micro-fins appear externally.

Maybe try to first face mesh the flat face on one of the sides, than mesh the rest of the body, hopefully it`ll be able to sweep your surface mesh along the axis while rotating with the fins. if that doesnt work, try to maybe specify the sweeping faces manualy.
If that doesnt work, Since you have a a geometry that has rotational periodicity try cutting the body between two fins and mesh that part with match control. later you can copy and rotate that mesh in fluent. maybe even solve it that way so you can save some solving time.

I had some experience with a similar geometry (see images)
