Would somebody please explain what is the logic under number of divisions?
I did an Edge Meshing and selected number of division 10 but it is 4 in soft but 10 in hard. Would you explain how the edges is divided into 4 instead of 10? Thank you. edge sizign.png |

The soft setting abides the global settings of the mesh. If you choose the hard setting, the edge can be defined locally, i.e. just for the edge. You could of course try to change the global settings to be more fitting for your purposes.
Just toy around with the size settings and I'm sure you will get there soon! |

with "hard" edge sizing you are forcing the mesher to create 10 elements across the edge whereas in "soft" edge sizing, it uses the global sizing into consideration as well.
I would suggest "hard" sizing if you know how many elements you need. |
