vg026 is on a distinguished road
Hey CFD community,

I'm looking for assistance modeling fluid flow through a perforated tube. I have CAD experience but less experience with CFD, and ANSYS in particular.
Fluid would be input through one end of the cylinder, and output through the other. I can model this now, but I would also like to model fluid diffusion through perforations, or small holes, in this tube.

Gweher will become famous soon enough
Hi Vish,

You can use porous media model. I suggest you to have a look under the Fluent user manual help chapter 6.2.3 "Porous Media Conditions" to get more insights on the modelling approach.

Have fun
