Hi everyone,

I have an unstructured mesh which I have generated using turbogrid. Is it possible to convert this grid to structured on ICEM or any other platform? I need the structured version and I want to save my time. Thanks.

Edit: The mesh is full hex. Forgot to mention.

What do you mean by structured and unstructured? A real structured mesh is built from blocks with ijk-directions. Do you need these? No way you can get this done automatically or by conversion from an unstructured mesh.

But why do you need a structured mesh? If you read the structured mesh into CFX or Fluent, they'll treat it as unstructured anyway since their solver is unstructured.

Oh, I see. I was trying to understand the nature of CGNS files actually. I have a structured solver which can use CGNS files as initial condition. I wanted to test this, only then noticed that the mesh/results i obtained was unstructured. I gave up on this thought anyway Thanks for the reply though.
